COUNTY LOUTH
The names of Electoral Divisions later called District
Electoral Divisions have changed over the years.
Outside of the towns they consist of a number of townlands.
In genealogy these divisions are to be found in Registers of
Electors of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
In addition the Cancelled Books, also known as Revision
Books, which show changes to valuations after Richard
Griffith's original General Valuation of Rateable Property
in Ireland, in the Valuation Office, are arranged by
District Electoral Divisions.
